Hiking boots/shoes: Comfortable and sturdy footwear is essential for the vortex hikes and exploring the Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
Hiking pack: Small lightweight backpack for essentials.

Snacks: Bring high-energy snacks such as trail mix, energy bars, and fruits to keep your energy levels up.
Sun protection: The desert sun can be intense, so be sure to bring a hat and/or sunglasses.
