Gear Checklist for "Springtime in Sedona" Camping Trip

We recommend that you bring the following for the "Springtime in Sedona" camping trip.  Please be aware that we have limited space, so try to only pack what you need for the 5-night trip.

  • Tent:  A lightweight tent that is easy to set up and break down, and an appropriate size for the amount of people using it.  
  • Sleeping bag, mat and pillow:  Bring a sleeping bag rated for temperatures between +30°F to +55°F and an air mat for comfort and insulation from the ground.
  • Clothing:  Bring comfortable and breathable clothing that's suitable for desert weather conditions, including shorts and T-shirts for the daytime and warm layers for the chilly evenings.  Also, bring swimming clothes in case it's warm enough to jump in the creek.  
  • Toiletries: Travel size soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.
  • Hiking boots/shoes:  Comfortable and sturdy footwear is essential for the vortex hikes and exploring the Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
  • Hiking pack:  Small lightweight backpack for essentials.
  • Water bottle/hydration pack:  Make sure to bring enough water for each day's activities, and consider investing in a hydration pack for easy access to water on the go.
  • Snacks: Bring high-energy snacks such as trail mix, energy bars, and fruits to keep your energy levels up.  
  • Sun protection:  The desert sun can be intense, so be sure to bring a hat and/or sunglasses.
  • Flashlight/headlamp:  Bring a reliable light source for navigating around the campsite at night.
  • Camera:  Don't forget to bring a camera to capture the incredible scenery and ancient ruins.

Boynton Canyon is a popular destination located in the heart of Sedona, Arizona. The canyon is renowned for its stunning red rock formations, peaceful atmosphere, and mystical energy.
